Christmas is just around the corner, and we’re all waiting for sweet presents from our loved ones. December 25 is a special day when miracles may happen to anyone who believes in them. On this day, each of us can feel like a wizard and make someone a bit happier with a little drop of attention, a sprinkle of care, and a fistful of effort. Show how much you love your significant other with a cute DIY Christmas present!
In this article, we’ve put together four awesome and relatively simple ideas that won’t take too much of your time.
A nice name mug
Actually, you can write anything you want on it, not just your loved one’s name. A small heart or some funny picture would also look good. For a present like this, you’re gonna need a white porcelain mug, scissors, a porcelain marker, some copy paper, a pencil or a pen, scotch tape, and a printed picture of whatever you’re going to draw on the mug.
First, cut out the picture and the same-sized piece of copy paper. Apply the dark side of the copy paper to the mug and put the picture above it. Fix all this with scotch tape. Then outline the picture with a pencil or pen so that the image is imprinted on the mug. Next, outline the imprinted picture with a porcelain marker.
After the picture is ready, leave it to dry for 10-20 hours. After that, put the mug in the oven for 90 minutes (the temperature should be around 160°? or 320°F). The picture will never wash out even if you put it in a dishwasher.
Love message made from keyboard
Those who dated a chick that loves video games know that geek girls dating can be a pain in the neck when it comes to choosing a present, especially when you can’t tell the difference between Fortnight and PUBG. But your gamer girlfriend will surely appreciate an original love letter made from keyboard keys. For it, you’re gonna need a photo frame with glass, an old keyboard, light or dark paint, a stencil, some glue, and a marker or black nail polish. Of course, if you know more about video games you can even get your girlfriend a pubg hack to help with her gaming experience!
Pull out the keys from the keyboard, paint them black or white, and let them dry. Make a stencil with letters you need for the message (you can download the font you need, print it on a sheet of paper, and cut out the letters). Apply your stencil to the key and draw the letter you need with a marker or nail polish. Glue the keys to the frame and cover them with glass.
DIY bath bombs
Your girlfriend loves taking bubble baths every evening? Then a few natural aroma bath bombs made with your own hands will be a nice gift. Here’s what you need: 500 grams of soda, 250 grams of lemon acid, 14 grams of dry milk, 70 grams of sea salt, 14 grams of cream of tartar, 2 tbs of almond oil, 1.5 tbs of grape oil, 0.5 tbs of aloe vera gel, 2 tbs of some flavoring matter, and some molds to shape the bombs. Soda and lemon acid are the basis. Feel free to experiment with other ingredients.
Mix soda, lemon acid, dry milk, and sea salt in a separate bowl. Then mix other liquid ingredients. Gradually pour the liquid mix into the first bowl, stirring the contents with hands. If you did everything right, you should have a substance that resembles wet sand. Pour it into the molds and leave to dry for a day. To speed up the process, put the molds in some warm spot. And there you have it!
The book of love
Make a small book with your favorite photos and some free space for love messages and compliments. Here’s everything you need: photographic paper, something to make holes in it, and a piece of thin rope to tie the pages together.
Print the pics on photo paper. Make sure they all have one format and occupy just half of the free space on the sheets. You need that free space to write something sweet to your loved one. Make two holes in the upper and lower corners of the blank side of each sheet (they’re pages now), pull the piece of rope through the holes, and tie the pages together. Your book of love is ready.
