A children’s mermaid look is super simple any one can do it. To create the scale effect use a pair of fishnets. You can make it as whimsical or as simple as you want. I added some face painting, jewels, and sparkles. It’s more of a glamorous mermaid look so there’s a lot of highlight as well!
For the scales and lips I used the Jacklyn Hill Palette and the BH Cosmetics Take me Back To Brazil palette. For the face paint I used the Makeup Forever flash palette.
To create the scales you slide the fishnets over their head or have someone help you hold it, and use a powder brush to apply the product over the tights.
Apply the eyeshadow as you normally would and then drag it down the nose as sort of a contour. Apply all the jewels and sequins and glitter with a face glue. I used eyeshadow for the lips, since that tends to dry out the lips you can apply a clear or sparkly gloss.
